Tiptree tip their diamond marmalade falvoured hats to Queenie for her Jubilee

To mark 60 years of the Queens reign, one of Marmaland's favourite manufacturers Wilkin & Son's have produced a limited volume of Tiptree Jubilee Marmalade.

In preparation of this Summers landmark celebrations 2,012 of the 2lb jars (that's twice the size of a standard pot what you might buy from the supermarket) were made five years ago and laid down  in the coolest, darkest part of the warehouses at Tiptree.

All funds from the sales of this very special marmalade will be ploughed (farming gag) back into local Essex community projects.

The manufacturers have kicked the charitable gathering of funds off by putting six jars up for auction in a specially made wooden sign written casket on the eBay. Starting at just £1 the auction is currently at £185 with a day and five hours to run.

If that is a little too rich for your blood you can have a go at buying one of the other 2,006 jars - but you will need to go to the Tiptree tea and cake rooms which are situated in a converted tractor shed and well worth a visit anyway.

Final chance you can buy on-line from RedMoped Tiptrees delivery service

They have 100 of the jars on offer. Well they did have I just bought three (one for the table, one for the cupboard and one for the Museum).
