Nick Faldo's Dark Marmalade Secret.

The much publicised rift between Nick Faldo & Tiger Woods.

Is Faldo's "dark marmalade secret" to blame?

Could a recent Marmaland discovery by Mr Jones (Marmaland Curator) uncover what is really at the root of the two golfers public squabbling?

When asked, at a recent press conference before the British Open, whether he will shake hands with his rival, Tiger Woods responded: “I don’t really talk to him much and it’s up to him whether we shake hands”.

This postcard from a less politically correct time shows a young Faldo with a caddy that I am sure he would not get away with these days.

The World's Most Expensive Marmalade.

£5,000 for a jar of marmalade? - "Look at me I am Shit*ing Gold".

F Duerr & Son has marked its 125th anniversary by producing the world's most expensive marmalade.

The marmalade is encased in a crystal jar valued at £1,100. The Fine Cut Seville Orange Marmalade with,Pol Roger CuvĂ©e Sir Winston Churchill 1996 vintage champagne and Dalmore 62 whisky from Whyte & Mackay (valued at £32,000 per bottle), as if this wasn't extravagant enough they have topped off with flakes of 24-carat gold leaf.

Yes it actually has gold in it, £5k to ultimately be able to sit on the toilet and say "look at me I am shit*ing gold!". It is pure extravagance but you have to love it.

Apparently it works out at an approximate £76 to cover a single slice of toast.

Mark Duerr, managing director of the Manchester firm said: "It's unbelievably good – we tasted it at a board meeting last week for the first time, and were amazed. The whisky comes through immediately. The champagne's more subtle." - Nice one Mark, Marmaland salutes you!

Apparently one jar will go on sale for charity on ebay very soon. And if Mr Duerr wants to send another jar for consideration in the 2007 Marmaland awards, then I am sure that we would be delighted to consider it!
